1. For the purpose of establishing your MyUMC account and facilitating necessary communications regarding the foundry business relationship between your company and UMC, UMC is now informing you and seeking your consent to process your personal and contact information (name, contact address, e-mail information, telephone number, fax number and job title, hereinafter referred to as “Personal Date”) for the purpose of our business relationship. This processing includes, but is not limited to, recording, inputting, storing, compiling, correcting, duplicating, retrieving, deleting, outputting, connecting or internally transmitting your Personal Date. If you choose not to provide your Personal Date, although your personal rights will not be affected, your choice may cause inconvenience in communication between your company and UMC.

2. Due to the transnational nature of the company's business and services, UMC may transmit your Personal Date amongst UMC group companies, including Taiwan, the United States, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, China or other places where the company has business operation within the purpose of our business relationship. The aforementioned countries may have different legal regulations and requirements for privacy protection. If UMC transmits your Personal Date from the European Economic Area (hereinafter “EEA”) to a country outside of EEA, in which the country has not obtained the EU adequacy decision, UMC will sign an EU standard contractual clause with the recipient. You may request UMC to provide standard contractual clause for your reference.

3. According to applicable Personal Data protection laws, you may request the following rights from UMC:

a. Review your Personal Data.

b.Request that UMC provide duplicates of your Personal Data.

c.Request to supplement or correct your Personal Data.

d.Transfer your Personal Data to other Personal Data controllers under reasonable and feasible measures.

e.Request to opt out, including withdrawing your consent to process your Personal Data, refusing to provide your Personal Data, stopping the collection of your Personal Data, restricting the processing of your Personal Data, and requesting the deletion of your Personal Data.

However, please note that you need to provide identification in order to exercise the above rights. If the processing of your Personal Data has other legal standings, UMC may continue to process your Personal Data.
